KidsZone

Times

KidsZone is offered during the Discipleship hour at 9:00am for children birth through 5th grade, and for children in the nursey and preschool during the Worship hour at 10:30am.

Check-In System

Security is very important to us, so our check-in process is highly effective yet very efficient for parents and kids. If you are a first time guest, simply go to the designated “Visitor Check-in” that you will find in our KidsZone lobby. There you will find helpful assistants that will get you registered with a security badge for you and your child (security badges must match to pick up child). You must have either a parent security badge or a volunteer lanyard to enter the KidsZone.

KidsZone Values

  1. Family Is Primary- God has given parents the role to be the primary people who pass on the faith to the next generation. Eph 4:11-13
  2. Spiritual Formation Is Our Goal- We desire that those in our care will have been spiritually formed by the time they leave our Family Ministry. We want Christ formed in you, nothing less. Galatians 4:19
  3. The Holy Spirit Is The Teacher- It’s essential to teach them to rely on Him at all times because He is there teaching them when they’re not in our classes or our homes.
  4. Scripture Is Our Authority- Our task is not just to teach kids about God’s Word, but also to allow them to investigate it for themselves.
  5. The Big God Story- God’s Word is one redemptive story line with one main character. Kids will discover the entire gospel from beginning to end, a story that’s still being written and the part they can play in it.
  6. God Is Central- God should be the main focus of every story, not biblical people. We will worship and respond to Him.
  7. Ministry Support- Psalm 78 commissions us to pass on faith from generation to generation, even to those yet to be born. Faith that lasts will take more than just one person. We’re going to join together as one faith community that is together for the long haul and not give up.

KidsZone Curriculum and Parent Resources

Our desire is to help parents be the primary spiritual leaders in their homes. Our goal is to inspire, equip, and support you in your efforts. Most parents would agree that they believe it is their role to do so they simply don’t know how or even where to begin. That’s where we come in. Each week your child will come home with an activity page you can use to develop a weekly or daily time of family worship. There are discussion starters and activity ideas to help dig deeper into what was talked about this Sunday at church.  By intentionally talking through these resources YOU will be be disciplining your kids! This is based on Deuteronomy 6:7“Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up” — a parent can make the most of everyday moments to instill faith and character in the heart of their child.

AWANA

Awana is an international organization whose mission is to create resilient disciples. Our Awana Club is a bible-based club for children age 3 through 5th grade (as of August 1). Clubbers will participate in scripture memorization, games, and bible study that will help them grow their relationship with the Lord. We believe children build spiritual resilience when they feel they belong to Jesus, when they believe in the truth of the Bible and then they become disciple makers.

Why join Awana?

Awana helps clubbers memorize God’s Word through scripture activities and fun games that develop Godly character. It also gets the whole family involved with weekly stories and activities to do in the handbook. Most importantly, Awana is centered on the gospel.

What makes up an Awana Club?

Awana clubbers are divided into different groups.

AGES 3 – 5

Celebrate the spiritual potential of preschoolers by helping them learn core truths about God, Jesus and salvation.

GRADES K – 2

Discover how Sparks ignites children’s curiosity and builds a foundation for knowing Jesus Christ.

GRADES 3 – 5

Discover how T&T can encourage kids to explore the meaning of God’s grace and how it affects our relationship with Him and others.

What can I expect on club night?

Clubbers will check-in at the check-in station and at the desk to earn points, then they will meet in their classroom before opening ceremony where they will kick off the night with songs and celebration. Each week, our clubbers will participate in game time where they will learn to work together as a team as well as individually in hopes to compete in Awana Games later in the year.  Clubbers will also have handbook time where they complete sections in their handbooks and say their memory verse. Rewards for their achievements will be earned and awarded at the end of Awana. Our clubbers will learn a Bible lesson from their Awana director and participate in related activities.

When & Where?

We meet in the Kids Zone on Wednesdays from 6-7:30pm beginning August 28, 2024.
